Sully and Friends

Sully and friends is an evening of stories & tunes highlighting the wonderful and unlikely connections that music can bring in a small community. Sully (they/them), is a local queer musician & teacher who has explored the music scene in tofino through a diverse range of experiences, from recording in the sea caves at Chesterman to teaching vocal lessons outside their motorhome.

Sully’s musical background throughout their childhood in classical voice and piano set them up well to perform in professional theatre & opera productions in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where they grew up. They moved to Toronto to pursue jazz vocals and after gigging, teaching, and recording in the big city music scene, they moved out to the west coast & have been exploring all the small ways that music shows up in and for community since landing in tofino in 2020. Sully and friends will bring together the folks they’ve connected with in a co-creative evening that centres community, care, and of course, great tunes.
